Gregg Satterlee takes the checkers for his $4,900 payday.
What won the race: Outrunning early leader Dillan Stake and fast qualifier Jeff Rine, Gregg Satterlee of Indiana, Pa., raced to the $4,900 victory in Friday’s Milt Miller Tribute at Bedford Speedway. He finished 4.724 seconds ahead of polesitter Stake and led 25 of 35 laps.
Quotable: “I knew we had a good car car. I got a really good start," Satterlee said. "Dillan had a little bit better jump than me. I was on the outside there and it didn’t have much traction there. I knew I had to fall in line and make some laps, see where my car was the best. Once I knew what I needed to do, I was able to slide in front of him here down in one and make some good laps. The car was really good.”
Key notes: Drake Troutman of Hyndman, Pa. (lap 7) and Rick Eckert of York, Pa. (lap 23) retired while running among the top three. ... The race was slowed by three caution periods. ... Fourteen drivers completed 35 laps. ... Tim Smith Jr. scratched from the feature.
