Dates: May 24-26 ($5,000-to-win MLRA event Thursday; time trials and heat races Friday; consolations and main event Saturday).

Track: Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo. (semi-banked 3/8-mile oval).

Last year’s winner: Jimmy Owens of Newport, Tenn., who is gunning for his third straight Show-Me 100 victory.

TV: The event will appear later on CBS, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, SPEED, and MavTV, a total of eight air showings.

Notes: The Thursday night program is new to the Show-Me 100 weekend with Lucas Oil’s sister series, Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association, hosting a $5,000-to-win, $500-to-start event. ... The main event has also gotten a $10,000 purse upgrade with at least $1,500 to every starter, up from $1,200 in recent seasons. ... Another addition is a non-qualifiers’ event, the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge. It pays $2,000-to-win and $250-to-start for the 24-car field. ... The winner of the non-qualifiers’ race can pass on the $2,000 and elect to start on the tail for the 100-lapper. ... The Red Buck Fast Time award presented by Fast Shafts pays $500 to the overall fast qualifier. ... The event has has nine different winners, six of them winning more than once. ... Two-time Lucas Oil champion Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., has five victories, most recently in 2008 when the event was still at West Plains (Mo.) Motor Speedway. ... The race moved to Wheatland from West Plains in 2010. ... Bloomquist is the only driver to start all previous 20 events. ... Wendell Wallace (19) is second on that list followed by Billy Moyer (16) and Terry Phillips (14). ... Activities at the track include the Miss Show-Me 100 Pageant, cornhole Tournament, activities on the Lake Lucas, children’s activities, the Diamond Bar, free live concerts and more. ... The Crawford Supply Race of Champions presented By Traeger Grills pays $1,000-to-win and $100-to-start (past winners invited: Billy Moyer, Terry Phillips, Scott Bloomquist, Freddy Smith, Jimmy Owens, Rick Aukland, Ray Cook, Wendell Wallace, and Brian Birkhofer). ...
