What won the race: Leading all 53 laps from the pole, Dillon Brown of Gaffney, S.C., held off a charge from Cody Hedgecock to win the American All-Star Series Trade Show 53 at Wythe Raceway on Saturday, earning $10,000.
Key notes: After advancing 11 positions, Hedgecock settled for the runner-up spot, 0.537 seconds behind Brown. ... Carson Ferguson had problems before the race and had to drop to the tail of the field; he rallied to finish fourth. ... Last year's event winner and hometown driver, Tyler Arrington, finished sixth. ... Series points leader Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, Va., finished 12th. ... Saturday's feature, one of the tour’s highest-paying events, was slowed by five separate incidents and lasted 35 minutes, with 12 competitors completing all 53 laps. … Adam Ahl was leading the second heat when engine problems sidelined him on the last lap.
