Morgan Bagley raced to a Cow Patty victory in Harrisburg, Ark.
What won the race: Powering underneath B.J. Robinson to grab the lead on lap 23, Morgan Bagley of Longview, Texas, paced the remainder of Saturday’s 40-lap Comp Cams Super Dirt Series-sanctioned Cow Patty at Old No. 1 Speedway. Bagley beat Logan Martin to the checkers by 2.396 seconds for a $5,000 paycheck and his seventh career series win — his first since Sept. 2, 2022, at Crowley's Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Ark.
Quotable: “Ever since Arrowhead and Springfield and last night, things have been clicking,” Bagley said. “Man, it’s funny, because the first handful of times I came here I struggled really bad, and then I got better, and man, we’ve been so good here every time and I felt like this might be our chance to win one.”
Key notes: Matt Cooper of McKenzie, Tenn., salvaged a seventh-place finish after slipping off the track in turn three on the final lap while attempting to keep pace with Bagley for the lead. Bagley had gotten out of shape as he lapped Bryan Glaze off turn four heading to the white flag, allowing Cooper to make an inside bid on Bagley through turns one and two, only to run out of room on the backstretch as he raced outside Glaze. … The seventh-starting Martin, of West Plains, Mo., ran third for laps 24-39 before benefiting from Cooper's miscue to grab the runner-up spot. ... Second-starting B.J. Robinson led laps 6-22 before retiring with a flat right-rear tire. … Chandler Petty led laps 1-5 before slipping to a fourth-place finish. ... Kyle Beard was collected in a four-car tangle on lap six that ended his night. ... Saturday's feature lasted 25 minutes, with 14 drivers completing the distance and 17 running at the finish.
On the move: Scott Crigler of Alton, Mo., started 20th and finished sixth.
