Back on the series for the first time since winning last year's championship, Ashton Winger of Hampton, Ga., led 30 laps unchallenged Tuesday at Springfield Raceway for a $5,000 DIRTcar Summer Nationals victory. The outside front-row starter took the checkers 2.216 seconds ahead of fast qualifier Dillon McCowan with six-race winner and points leader Tyler Erb in third after a back-and-forth duel with the runner-up.
