What won the race: Leading all the way, second-starting Adam Yarbrough of Denver, N.C., faced little challenge in capturing Saturday's 40-lap Summer Showdown at Sumter Speedway for a $5,000 payday and his first career Ultimate Southeast Series victory.

Key notes: Yarbrough finally broke through for an Ultimate Southeast victory in his 36th career start with the series and just his second this season.
