Thomas, who's fresh off his second career CRUSA national title, earned $4,000 and topped Sam Seawright by 1.305 seconds at the finish.

"I just wanted to make sure I hit my marks. Them cautions had me nervous a little bit because I felt them a couple times. I knew if I hit my marks, everything would be alright."
