What won the race: Fifth-starting Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., drove to a convincing victory in Friday’s Northern LateModel Racing Association feature at River Cities Speedway, winning by 3.179 seconds ahead of seventh-starting Dave Mass. Seng earned $1,200 for his series-leading 39th career NLRA triumph.
Key notes: Seng won his second Northern LateModel Racing Association race of the season. He won the tour’s season opener at Devils Lake Speedway in Doyon, N.D., on June 27. … Twenty-two of the 24 starters finished the race with 14 completing all 25 laps. ... The NLRA stopped at River Cities on Friday for the second race of the tour’s three-night swing that concludes Saturday at Devils Lake Speedway. … Seng finished second behind Dustin Strand of East Grand Forks, Minn., in Friday’s weekend opener at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. … The series returned to River Cities Speedway for the 43rd time.
