Zack Dohm takes the checkered flag to win $5,000 at Richmond.
What won the race: With a dominant drive towards the end of the 50-lap main event, polesitter Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.Va., won Sunday’s rain-postponed Butch Shay Memorial at Richmond Raceway. Dohm finished a comfortable 6.267 seconds ahead of runner-up Derek Fisher while earning $5,000 for winning the first-ever Ultimate Heart of America Series event.
Key notes: Saturday rain postponed Richmond's sixth annual Butch Shay Memorial to Sunday. … Dohm, who repeated his July 25 $5,000 Southern All Stars win at Richmond, now has special event victories in five of his last six starts and has collected $34,619 in winnings since July 4. ... Dohm won July 4 at Beckley Motorsports Park ($10,000); was third in the July 10 Lucas Oil Series race at Florence ($3,500); won July 18 at Lake Cumberland ($5,031); won July 24 at Ponderosa ($6,088); and July 25 at Richmond ($5,000). … Seven of the 15 starters completed 50 laps. ...
