What won the race: Sixth-starting Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., took the lead on lap 23 and paced the final two circuits, winning Friday's Northern LateModel Racing Association feature at his hometown River Cities Speedway and collecting $1,200. The victory is the 41st of Seng's career with the NLRA series, further adding to his lead as the tour's all-time winner.
Key notes: After leading the first 22 laps from the pole, Lance Schill of Langdon, N.D., settled for the runner-up position, 0.482 of a second behind. ... Joey Pederson of East Grand Forks, Minn., ran inside the top-three all race and finished third. ... After winning the most-recent Late Model race at River Cities on June 3, NLRA series point leader Brody Troftgruben of Grand Forks, N.D., finished sixth. ... The most-recent NLRA-sanctioned winner at River Cities, Dustin Strand of Grand Forks, N.D., finished seventh. ... Friday's feature, the third of four scheduled tour stops to the Grand Forks, N.D. oval, was slowed by two cautions and lasted 11 minutes, with 15 competitors completing 25 laps.
