What won the race: Becoming the fifth and final leader of a wildly competitive race, ninth-starting Morgan Bagley of Longview, Texas, overtook David Breazeale to gain command on lap 25 and went on to capture Sunday night’s 40-lap Comp Cams Super Dirt Series feature at Magnolia Motor Speedway. The 38-year-old Texan beat Sam Seawright to the finish line by 1.326 seconds for a $5,000 payday and his second victory of 2024 on the regional tour.

Quotable: “I just snuck up there, stuck to my gameplan,” Bagley said. “It worked out once before for me here. It’s been a long time, but … we’ve been working, we’ve been staying after it.”

Key notes: Bagley registered his eighth career Comp Cams win and first since April 6 at Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg, Ark. … Seawright wrestled second from Jeremy Shaw on lap 34 but never seriously challenged Bagley. … Hometown racer Brian Rickman completed a charge from 14th to a third-place finish with his lap 38 pass of Shaw. … Breazeale led laps 15-24 before ceding the position to Bagley and then spinning in turn two to bring out a caution flag on the 27th circuit. … Other leaders were Neil Baggett (laps 1, 3-6), Shaw (lap 2) and Ashton Winger (laps 7-14). … Baggett’s hopes ended on lap 13 when he triggered the race’s first of two caution flags; Shaw settled for a fourth-place finish while Winger retired on lap 27 after fading to seventh with nosepiece damage after trading sliders for the lead with Breazeale.

On the move: Brian Rickman of Columbus, Miss., started 14th and finished third.
