Mike Mullen heads to victory at Outagamie Speedway.
What won the race: Sneaking by mid-race leader Mitch McGrath with six laps to go, Mike Mullen of Seymour, Wis., led the rest of Saturday's 30-lap Fall Brawl to win $1,250 at Outagamie Speedway. Mullen led twice for seven laps (1, 25-30) to grab his third Wabam Dirt Kings Tour victory of the season and the seventh of his career.
Key notes: Mullen's other Dirt Kings wins include April 13 at Shawano (Wis.) Speedway and Aug. 11 at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. ... Eighth-starting Mitch McGrath motored to take the lead from Mullen on the second lap and paced the field until Mullen regained command on lap 25. McGrath crossed the line 1.513 seconds back. ... Taylor Scheffler, winner of Friday's $2,500 opener at Langlade County Speedway in Antigo, Wis., started and finished third. ... Six-time and reigning Dirt Kings champ Nick Anvelink took fifth from Brett Swedberg on the final lap. ... Brad Mueller gained seven spots and rounded out the top 10. ... The race's first caution came on lap 10 when Kyle Frederick slowed from 12th. ... The second stoppage came on an ensuing botched restart attempt. ... The feature lasted 15 minutes, with 15 competitors completing 30 laps and 20 running at the checkers. ... Adam Janke scratched following hot laps.
